Tool & Die Technician

  • Analyzes specifications, lays out metal stock, sets up and operates machines tools, and fits and assembles parts to fabricate and repair metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures, gauges and machinists hand tools.

  • Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models or descriptions, and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.

  • Computes dimensions, plans layout and determines assembly method and sequence of operations.

  • Measures, marks and scribes metal stock for machining.

  • Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, shaper and grinder to machine parts and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications.

  • Lifts machined parts and positions and secures parts on surface plate or work table.

  • Smooth?s flat and contoured surfaces and power grinders, fits and assembles part together and into assemblies and mechanisms.

  • Verifies dimensions, alignments and clearances, as well as, heat treats tools or parts.

  • Develops specifications from general descriptions for specialty tools and draws or sketches design of product.

  • Completes preventive maintenance work assignments to include work orders.


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES?????????????????? ??????????????????????????

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES???????????????? ?????????????????????????

  • Ability to read/interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions & procedure manuals.

  • Advanced mathematical concepts such as trig, exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations & permutations.

  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factory analysis.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.



    Journeyman?s Certification through a certified apprentice program.




We have 2 openings for 3rd shift, Monday ? Thursday, 7:30pm ? 5:30am.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
